About

Aaron Denn began playing the bagpipes in 2006, having had a lifelong fascination with the music of his ancestral homeland of Scotland.   Under the tutelage of Pipe Major Don Shannon, Aaron's piping skills developed quickly, and he was welcomed into the widely known North Texas Caledonian Pipes and Drums.

Aaron has played numerous events with the North Texas Caledonians, including the North Texas Irish Festival, one of the largest Celtic Music celebrations in North America, and the annual Texas Scottish Festival in Arlington, Texas, as well as the State Fair of Texas.

In 2008, Aaron participated in the North American Grade V Band competition in Alma, Michigan, with the Ballantyne Memorial pipe band, contributing to their success in becoming the North American International champions.  Aaron also played an integral part in the Ballantyne Memorial's first place victory in quartet competition at the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association summer 2009 convention.

Aaron is continuously honing his bagpiping prowess, and learning new tunes from Scotlnad and Ireland to broaden his repertoire.

Aaron has been piping professionally since June, 2009, and has performed several times in Dallas, Texas, and has also had opportunities to perform in Virginia, Georgia, and Siberian Russia.

Aaron currently resides a short distance from Dallas in Forney, Texas, and is available for events around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, East Texas, and as far south as Austin.
